as you probably (maybe) already know, my name is yuu. i typically appear online as soreii. i'm a furry artist, i particularly enjoy kemono styles.
i'm a blasian creature of japanese descent living in florida, born and raised here. there's a strong asian american presence down where i live, meshed with all sorts of other worldwide cultures too, simply the joys of living in the city. florida is a hellhole, yes! but it's the hellhole me and many other minorities call home. please don't denounce all residents of a state just because it's red :(
i'm no internet fossil, but i've been online for a very long time! my prime was definitely the mid-late 2000's, i've gone under many different names/aliases and whatnot, but they're all behind me u_u i was cringe and free back then, but i'd rather keep that preserved in my memory and mine only. my favorite internet sensation(s) from then are...hamster dance & nyan cat...
my older brother & i grew up the same way, so i often come off as someone from an older generation (millenials) if that makes sense ^_^' not that this probably matters much at all, i just wanted to point it out...because recently, i've come to realize it due to a particular space i've been active in...i feel elderly around there despite only being a few years older than most of them...i much prefer being the youngest in a group :P
aside from drawing, my other primary hobbies include cooking, vidya games, and watching/listening to absurdly long video essays on topics i'm not even vaguely versed in, fun!
i love cooking all sorts of food, but i have a soft spot for anything asian (oh duh). i really love chinese food a lot, but i especially grew up on cantonesian dishes because i used to be extrmely weak with "new flavors" when i was younger aka. anything too hot or complex (withered rose emoji). but things are much different now! i'm battling thai & korean food lately, wish me luck 💔
that isn't all of course, i'm also black so soul food has also been a huge part of my life too! most recipes i know are passed down from my unteas and now i have to make the collard greens for every family gathering >_<
i'm not a hardcore gamer or anything...not anymore at least. but i like things i can play by myself either intentionally or by choice (ie; monster hunter), things i can turn my brain off to like survival crafting type games (ie; 7d2d)
